"Our MonaVie journey began in the summer of 2008. After repeated calls from Marla's sister (most of them going to voicemail), we finally succumbed to her persistence and became distributors. During those early days, we were optimistic about the promise of the product but filled with much skepticism about how to begin our own business. We live in the northwest suburban Chicago area, and our sponsor and upline are in California. We were unsure about how we could be successful with such distance between us.

“From the day we committed to doing this business, we made a promise to each other to never miss any of the major events—to lead by example. We had tasting parties and promoted every event possible. Attend all events, and never cancel AutoShip! In order to qualify for the cruise, we simply identified members of our team that were willing and able to make a strong, concentrated effort. Along with a lot of help from our upline mentors, it really involved a lot of action over a short period of time. It was interesting to see how powerful momentum is to the growth of a business.

“Being able to attend the Cruise for Gold trip shows us that teamwork and dedication to the business can accomplish any goal we set for ourselves. We wanted to take a vacation last year, but we just ran out of time and money. “We stayed focused on the goal and didn’t look left or right at the distractions that appeared. Our daily activities include inviting qualified people with whom to show the opportunity and share the products. We follow up with each of them to see if they are 1.) interested in learning more about the product, 2.) want to sign up right now, or 3.) want nothing to do with the opportunity. We locked arms with our upline leaders, attend meetings, listen to audios to continue personal growth, and sponsor people who want to change their lives.
