Direct Selling Industry Growing, Perceptions Progressing, Says Recent UC Berkeley Report
A report issued by the University of California, Berkeley shows that direct sellers who operate their businesses on a full-time basis are on the rise and that the perception of the Direct Sales industry has progressed exponentially due to people's desires for increased freedom through self-employment, according to an article published by the Direct Selling Association.
In the article, "Industry Research Reveals Increase in the Number of Full-Time Direct Sellers", it's revealed that a recent Gallup poll found that 55 percent of the U.S. population would opt for self-employment over traditional employment. Factors such as flexibility, a stable source of income in today's job market, as well as the opportunity to work in a culture of mentoring that welcomes people of all backgrounds are leading more and more people to our industry.
