Congratulations to Ed and Steph Cook from Reno, Nevada, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip. Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…
"We hit the level of Gold Executive a short three months after taking on the business in the fall of 2010. But, at that time we didn't quite understand that MonaVie is all about helping the folks that trusted you enough to sign up to find their two people in order to start being successful.
"A wise Black Diamond, Charlie Kalb, shared with us that we had about 90 days to get our folks making money or else they would click off. I still remember the hollow feeling as that statement echoed in my head. Unfortunately, this warning came to fruition as, one by one, people found excuses to not do the business and eventually rationalized giving up the very thing that was helping them feel better. Even after this happened, we never gave up on the business, vowed to correct our previous mistakes, and waited for our turn at bat again.
"We knew that this fall would be our time to shine and, sure enough, it was like the perfect storm of amazing occurrences that got us to this point. When the Cruise for Gold promotion was announced, Steph and I pictured ourselves on that ship with our team and with the rest of our MonaVie friends and family. To reinforce this, I printed a handful of the promotional graphics and put them in strategic places all over our home and constantly pictured us with our feet propped up sitting on lounge chairs overlooking the sea. We only concentrated on doing activities to help our team and made some new friends along the way. By serving others, we were blessed with the rewards of our labor!
"Earning a spot on the Cruise for Gold was not something that we did alone; it was a complete team win! We would like to thank everyone who had a hand in this exciting milestone. It began with the Team Building BBQ that our Black Diamond uplines, Mick and Vick Karshner, held to kick off the season right. We also could not have done this without our sponsors, Mike and Shelley ‘Ruby' Robins, who were unwaveringly committed to us—even when we told them we were not interested in doing the business for over two years! ‘No' truly means ‘not right now.' Never, ever give up on someone because when their time is right, they will see the value.
"Most of all, a million thanks to our downline team, including Ron and Kathleen Howard who are Bronzes and soon-to-be Golds. You stepped it up a notch just when we needed it the most and hit a grand slam! Now it is our turn to get you on the cruise, and we promise not to rest until you are all there with us!
"Trust us: it works! Picture yourself on the Cruise for Gold. Ask for abundance, and follow in the footsteps of the leaders who have already made it. Steph and I can't wait to see all of you in January 2012 on the cruise. Meet us on the Promenade Deck at sunset, pull up a lounge chair, and join us to watch the waves go by!"
