Sahi and I were high school sweethearts who started a family way before we were prepared, as Sahi became pregnant with our first and only child at the age of 17. Neither of us made it out of high school with diplomas. Life as we’ve known it has always been a challenge. I tell people that before MonaVie, we were so broke that we couldn’t afford to pay attention. For a couple years, we would rummage through garbage looking for things to sell at swap shops for cash on weekends. They say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and I know that this is where our strength comes from. I approached this business with the same mentality that I would any other business being built from the ground up. I was determined to put in the time and effort. Our goal was to reach Black Diamond in five years, but we were open to the idea of it taking us that long to reach Diamond. We never got discouraged or jealous when we witnessed time and again people signing up long after we did and advancing in ranks in a fraction of the time. It only proved to us that it was something that was achievable and worth working hard for. We thank God every day for this amazing opportunity!
