Preferred Customer Program Spotlight—Steve and Peggy Price

Congratulations to Steve and Peggy Price from Fort Worth, Texas, who in less than one year have earned more than US$5,000 in Preferred Customer Program bonuses and more than US$3,000 in Top Retailers Bonuses—more than US$8,000 all from preferred customers!* Here's what they have to say about their experience with the Preferred Customer Program…

"As newlyweds, we enjoy working the business together and supporting each other. We really like the Preferred Customer Program. It allows distributors to make weekly commissions while building their businesses. This is especially helpful for new distributors just getting started.

"We recommend that distributors use all the tools available on the Virtual Office and MyMonaVie website. Purchase business cards and product brochures as needed so you have tools to give to your potential customers. The Internet makes it easy for us to have contacts around the world. As a distributor, you should believe in and drink the products yourself so you can have firsthand experience to share with others. Thanks to everyone in our MonaVie family for helping us succeed."

* Results are not typical. MonaVie does NOT guarantee any level of income or earnings to any distributor. Earnings from the MonaVie Compensation Plan solely depend on sales and each distributor's skill, ability, and personal application.

Leadership Pool and other Training Courses
At times we may receive misleading or altogether false information. For example, the Leadership Pool is not a secret amenity tucked away in an exclusive resort in Fiji, filled with thousands of gallons of MonaVie Active. It's actually an important part of the MonaVie Compensation Plan. So, what's the best way to make sure you never receive ridiculous misinformation? Check out the user friendly training courses found at Why don't you jump into the Leadership Pool training course right now? The water's fine.

Açai Palm Fruit Improves Survival of Flies on High Fat Diet

The results of a recent study conducted by researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging suggest that açai may assist in alleviating some of the detrimental effects caused by a high fat diet and oxidative stress. Female flies that were fed a high fat diet and açai had a significantly increased lifespan compared to those just fed a high fat diet. The lifespan of female flies subjected to oxidative stress and fed açai was increased compared to oxidative-stressed flies that were not fed açai. Reducing oxidative stress has been shown to extend lifespan and has been suggested as one of the factors affecting aging. The antioxidant properties of açai appear to aide in the survival of oxidative-stressed flies. More importantly, the açai used in this study was supplied by MonaVie.

Preferred Customer Program Spotlight—Kelly Roth

Congratulations to Kelly Roth from Gainesville, Florida, who in less than one year has earned more than US$12,000 in Preferred Customer Program bonuses and US$14,000 in Top Retailers Bonuses—nearly US$30,000 all from preferred customers!*

In addition to the more than US$10,000 in other MonaVie™ commissions, Kelly has quickly become one of our most successful distributors in applying the Preferred Customer Program to her MonaVie business. Here's what she has to say about her experience with the program…

"MonaVie has the greatest products in the world. I know this because I talk to my customers and ask them why they buy MonaVie. The first time they buy, it's usually because they have heard so much about the juice and are curious about the health benefits. The next time I talk to them, they tell me how much of a difference it has made in their lives. Everybody should drink the juice, but not everybody is going to be interested in the business. That's where the Preferred Customer Program comes in.

"The program is brilliant because we are able to get MonaVie to customers quickly, and we are provided with fantastic service from MonaVie corporate. Specifically, I would like to draw attention to Dallon Waite in Distributor Support. Dallon has helped me so much with the business end. Whether it's a broken bottle or a customer's question, he is there and has my back. That is huge!

"My success in the Preferred Customer Program is due to working with the greatest product in the world, the greatest company in the world, and the greatest customers in the world. People talk about being in the right place at the right time. Well, this is it.

"Putting people and their needs first in your business will make you successful. The visionaries who watch over us distributors are looking to put more money in our pockets for doing the right things. Build your relationships, and your business will build as well. Trust is everything. Be accountable and honest, and people will flock to you.

"Finally, brand yourself and start talking. Shirts and hats that say ‘MonaVie' will start lots of conversations for you. The excitement and enthusiasm for our products and how we can change people's lives is what drives me. I also try not to take myself too seriously, keep a sense of humor, and realize that I am in this for the long run. I talk with fellow MonaVie distributors every day, and we keep strengthening each other. I feel extremely grateful to be here, and I do not take it for granted. MonaVie is and will always be a team effort. To everybody who has helped me, thank you. Go, MonaVie!"

* Results are not typical. MonaVie does NOT guarantee any level of income or earnings to any distributor. Earnings from the MonaVie Compensation Plan solely depend on sales and each distributor's skill, ability, and personal application.

2010 Black Diamond Celebration Recap

Watch the 2010 Black Diamond Celebration recap video.
View the photo gallery.

Housed in the unique comfort of Tahitian cabanas hovering over the Pacific, Black Diamond Executives and above spent a relaxing, yet adventurous week traveling the island of Tahiti and enjoying the first-rate activities and amenities of the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, including snorkeling among stingrays and sharks, jet skiing along the gleaming ocean waters, and enjoying the various seafaring tours offered by the resort.

On 50-foot-long catamarans, distributors sailed through the tropical paradise taking in the warm sunset, then stargazed from a rooftop sundeck. Smaller 2–4 person boats called "barracudas" allowed them to explore the remote motus and beaches that dot the towering islands of Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia. Kayaking, paddle boarding, and deep-sea fishing provided additional pursuits for guests to spend their leisure time.

In the nearby town of Vaitape, distributors enjoyed the local attractions and ate at the famous Bloody Mary's Restaurant. Vaitape is also where tourists go to shop for indigenous black pearls found in the secluded lagoons around the island.

Research Shows Açai Consumption Supports Healthy Heart in Rats*

Increased antioxidant capacity and the maintenance of healthy cholesterol levels have been associated with maintaining a healthy heart and cardiovascular system. A study that investigated the effects of açai supplementation on cholesterol levels and antioxidant capacity in rats showed that rats consuming açai and a standard diet or a high-cholesterol diet improved markers of antioxidant capacity. Rats that were fed açai and a high-cholesterol diet had significantly less increase in total cholesterol and non-HDL cholesterol than rats fed only a high-cholesterol diet. These results suggest that açai may be beneficial in reducing the risk of heart disease in rats.

Oliveira de Souza M, et al., Diet supplementation with acai (Euterpe oleracea Mart) pulp…, Nutrition (2009), doil:10.1016/j.nut.2009.09.007

* This research is for information purposes only. The benefits shown in this study do not directly translate to humans. More research needs to be done to determine if consuming açai may provide similar benefits to humans.

MVU Tip of the Week

Make Ideas Stick
The tasting party last night was amazing, especially the incredible insights you gained from other distributors. Now, if you could just remember what they said.

No matter how great the idea, once in a while great ideas just don't seem to stick in our brains. Some of the following methods of note taking are great ways to capture important ideas for future use:

• Take notes on a handheld electronic device
• Keep a micro recorder in your pocket
• Jot down great ideas in your daily planner
• Write down what you learn in a good, old-fashioned notepad

If you do find yourself at an important MonaVie event without a note taking tool, try taking mental notes using a mnemonic device. For example, let's say that you just heard that phytonutrients fight free radicals. You could imagine a boxing glove, and, later on when you're trying to remember what phytonutrients do, the image of the boxing glove will help you make the connection.

So, make a habit of taking notes. Even if it's just lipstick on a napkin, the idea is to make great ideas from a distributor's lips stick.
