Here’s what she had to say about advancing to Gold Executive and winning Quest for Gold…

“I am so grateful for MonaVie coming along. It has changed my life in so many aspects. People who know me tell me all the time that I am a different person. Others don’t even recognize me on the street. I have changed from the inside out. Through MonaVie, I have met people who care, inspire, motivate, and lead me to become the best I can be. I have grown to love them.

“As an entrepreneur, I appreciate the business in a box, the ongoing support, and training that MonaVie offers. At MonaVie conferences, I have been able to learn from some of the best leaders on the planet. They have impacted and changed my life from the inside out.

“Five years ago, I received a phone call from good friends, Heath and Carolyn Fletcher, of Vernon, B.C. We met in photography school in the early 90s and have been best friends since. So, when they called to inform me about this drink called MonaVie with the acai berry that people were drinking and getting great results from in terms of their health and suggested I try it, I did—eventually.

“They knew I needed help. I was about 25 pounds heavier. I used a cane or even a wheelchair at times. I wore braces on both knees to get around and was in constant pain. With pain came depression. I had several health issues that were taking me down a road to nowhere. I was miserable.

“Not that I didn’t have a great life; I did. I just couldn’t enjoy it. My job has been traveling, shopping, and taking pictures in different parts of the world since 1978. I would travel about eight months out of the year throughout Asia, Canada, and the rest of the world purchasing treasures, then returning to Canada to wholesale. Having been inspired by National Geographic magazine as a child, adventure, travel and being immersed in diverse cultures became a way of life for me, as did shopping in remote hill tribes and small villages. I experienced a few spills along the way and have done some damage to my body as a result.

“For me, MonaVie started with the product. I drank it, and life started to feel better. It gave me hope that there was someplace better than where I was. Once I knew what the product had done for me, I wanted to tell the world. I started on the business. I started with a blast signing up all 12 people at my first HBR. What I found out later was that travelling for eight months out of the year can make things difficult for business and getting things done. My quest for Gold was taking longer than I had hoped; however, I did not take my eyes off of the goal of Gold!

“I came to know what they were talking about over the next five years with MonaVie. I readily admit there were many times when I wanted to quit. There were times when I just had to hang onto the rope to just keep moving ahead. Remembering where I came from to where I was, I knew I was heading in the right direction. The conferences picked me up every time, filling me with new life and inspiration. The MonaVie community became my family. I felt like I was part of something big and good. I listen to CDs or videos from the website every day. They feed and fuel me. I call my sponsors, Heath and Caroline Fletcher and Shawn and Chrystal Lyons, for encouragement and accountability.

“Fast forward to now, I am getting stronger and better every day from the inside out. There are heroes and mentors that are making my life better. I am doing things that I never believed I could do.

“One of the highlights and turning points for me was the 5k Run (walk or crawl) for MORE.
I attempted the first 5k in St. Louis with my cane but quit because I was afraid of hurting myself. I did not think that I could do it. I felt bad! I had let myself down and felt that I had let MonaVie down, too, by not finishing. I was determined to go to the next one in Anaheim and finish that 5k even if I had to crawl. As luck would have it, I had my third knee surgery five weeks before that 5k. I crossed the finish line second-to-last, cheered on by my sponsor Heath Fletcher, with Rex Crain and Mark Macdonald by my side. It felt like first place. I did it! I finished it!

“Orlando was the next milestone. This time I was going to see how far I could go without using my cane and to beat my standing of second-to-last. I am so happy to share that I finished that 5k again with Heath, Rex, and Mark without ever using my cane—tenth-to-last. I did it! Not only that, but I have not used a cane to walk since! Life just keeps getting better as I look forward to completing my third 5k in Salt Lake City in August.

“As you may have guessed, I am so excited to have finally reached my quest for Gold! I am looking forward to my reward of the Black Tie Event and getting to know my leaders on a personal level. I still have a long way to go to get to where I want to be. I have established new goals to aspire to and am determined to get there with the help of my MonaVie family and leaders.

“MonaVie is making the world a better place, and I am so very excited to be a part of the adventure and see where the future will take me!”
