Clarification on MonaVie RVL Endorsements
As the world anxiously awaits the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, February 7–23, 2014, we want to clarify a rumor that has been circulating since earlier this year regarding MonaVie RVL.
The rumor is that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) or the “Olympics” endorses MonaVie RVL. This is not true. However, because there has been confusion around this issue, we want to clarify MonaVie’s relation to the Olympic movement.
In the process of reformulating MonaVie RVL Nutrition Shake Mix, MonaVie Chief Science Officer Dr. Shawn Talbott submitted the formula to an IOC sports nutrition group that he is part of. Dr. Talbott’s IOC program colleagues came back with positive feedback on the formula. In fact, the formula received a top score, based on overall balance, from among approximately 100 submissions. Receiving this positive feedback was a factor in us deciding to upgrade our product using this formula. However, this does not mean that the IOC endorses MonaVie products.
We ask that you, as a MonaVie distributor, refrain from making any connection between MonaVie (or MonaVie products) and the Olympics—whether it be in person, on stage at an event, or via your personal or public electronic communications (e.g., email, websites/blogs, social media). For your protection and ours, the MonaVie Compliance department is working diligently with anyone who is in potential violation of IOC trademarks. MonaVie has always been fully committed to protecting its own trademarks and intellectual property; similarly, we are also fully committed to protecting the integrity of other organizations’ trademarks and intellectual property.
