Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Derek and Tammy Scott

 

Congratulations to Derek and Tammy Scott from Ukiah, California, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip. Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"MonaVie continues to amaze us with their generosity in finding new ways to give back to the distributors. This is our third trip paid for by MonaVie and our first ever cruise. It's a nice gift and fun way to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary with all of our friends and MonaVie family. It is also a way for our children to see that hard work, consistent and persistent activity, and helping others will result in goals and dreams coming true.

"The first thing we did when we heard about the Cruise for Gold contest was meet with our amazing upline leaders Jimmy and Catherine Reese. We drew out our A,B, and C legs in our business and decided who we needed to help go Star, Star 500, Star 1000 and so on all the way up to Gold. We were looking for leaders like ourselves who wanted more than what they had, who were willing to make daily calls with us, who would go out a few times a week to share the products and opportunity with love and conviction in their voice, and then duplicate that with their new distributors. We found those leaders in some of the most amazing families; we are so thankful to be doing life and business with each and every one of them and most proud to call them all friends.

"If we were to give any advice while others are running to qualify for the cruise it would be, decide what your family wants, believe you can, and take action! We encourage you to set your own daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and then duplicate this process with your teams. This is what we plan to teach our teams over the next 90 days as we set our eyes on helping eight more teams get on that cruise. We encourage you to plan and strategize with your active upline to achieve the goals you have set out to achieve. We trust our upline with our children. We have built friendships and consider them as part of our family; we know we can call on Jimmy and Catherine Reese and Mick and Vick Karshner anytime of the day or night. They have always believed in us, maybe even when we didn't believe in ourselves.

"Being that I am in law enforcement and my wife was in education, this type of business was way out of our comfort zone. Congratulations to Jill and Dave Paul from Laguna Beach, California, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip. Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"The most exciting part about qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip so early is building the belief in my team that they can do it too! An all-expense-paid vacation to the Bahamas with my teammates will be such an amazing way to start the year!

"I kicked off the promotion with a personalized program for each team leader showing them how to build Star 500s to advance to Gold and where to look for potential leaders in their own businesses. I then created a certificate for each congratulating them for going Gold and qualifying for the cruise. I asked them to post it where they could see it every day and to believe it. You don't have to know how it's going to happen; you just have to believe it will happen. Then, we kicked our activities into high gear.

"I have taken full advantage of the MonaVie RVL Promos by creating a whole strategy around them. With the amazing discounts MonaVie is giving us, it's easy to show current RVL drinkers how much they can save. We created a buzz with new prospects around these huge price savings. The packets are a fabulous way to share the RVL shake, and most of us carry them with us to the gym, in our cars, etc.

"Another big contributor to our growth was our team strategy of doing the remote '15-minute presentation' to quickly qualify people's interest. By asking for just 15 minutes to introduce MonaVie to people in the comfort of their own homes and with their own computers, we are enabled to present to so many more people each week. Some of my leaders do 3–4 presentations a night!

"The end result was new enrollees from Thailand, Hong Kong, Mexico, Portugal, and all over the U.S. We have a new Gold on our team, Leonie Lapoint, who now has the foundation to go for Gold two weeks in a row to qualify for the cruise. Plus, everyone has nice increases in their weekly incomes! We now have momentum going forward.

A More Meaningful Life: Cody Weaver Drops Nearly Half His Weight on MonaVie RVL

On January 15, 2011, Cody Weaver from Fredericksburg, Ohio, began his MonaVie RVL journey. Now 127 pounds lighter, this college sophomore says his life will never be the same. Here's what else he had to say about his journey…

"It all began during the middle of my first year in college. At the time, I weighed 280 pounds, was very out of shape, and not healthy. I knew something had to change. My mom had always been worried about my health because severe heart problems run on her side of the family. I knew that there was only one way that my weight could go, and that was down. My Aunt Robin shared MonaVie RVL with my mom and me. I decided that I would give it a try.

"I followed the program faithfully and saw results! As I kept getting positive results, my determination and drive kept getting stronger. Before I started on RVL, I could not even run a full mile without stopping. In August 2010, I began running and training with my college's cross-country team. Today, I can run about eight miles straight.

"I'm starting to look and feel like an athlete as well. It has always been a dream of mine to be a healthy all-around athlete. I played baseball and golf in high school, but I was never able to play these sports to my full potential because I was overweight. I now feel much healthier and feel that I am a well-conditioned athlete. I also feel much stronger mentally.

"I now weigh 153 pounds, and I plan on maintaining this weight. I want to continue to get stronger and in better shape. I thank God for MonaVie RVL and all of the blessings and opportunities he has presented me with because without him none of this would be possible. My weight-loss journey has been a positive change, and my life will never be the same."

"Our journey has been absolutely amazing! God works in wonderful ways. John and I were given a bottle of MonaVie and a Success from Home magazine featuring MonaVie. Call it impulse or 'that little voice;' we knew this was right. We signed up, placed a bulk order, and embraced the opportunity. About one month in we had a light-bulb moment.

"Personally, I realized that I had been going through the motions working a job that I didn't love. This is so not me. I love people—my family, my friends, my God! I love life, and life is precious. New Gold Executives—Phil and Michele Caronna

Congratulations to Phil and Michele Caronna from West Springfield, Massachusetts, on achieving the rank of Gold Executive. Here's what they had to say on reaching this impressive milestone…

"We thank God that our friend called us. The funny thing is, I said, 'No, I am not interested in your product. I helped you out in the last thing you did. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you.' Two weeks later we received a call to come to a tasting party. That was the start of our road to Gold.

"Our sponsors live 1,500 miles away, and they were flying up to share MonaVie with their friends and family. Because friends do what friends do, I went to the tasting. On my way out the door, Phil said, 'I am going with you so you don't buy anything.' At the tasting, it all made sense and Phil was the one to fill out the enrollment form. We met our upline Gold Joel Novoa and heard about how the product was helping his mom's health and the money he was making. The support we have received from Joel and Ginny Novoa has been incredible. They are great people and have become great friends.

"We plugged into a system and stayed in constant contact with our active upline. It is possible for anyone young or old to get good at pointing to CD's, good books, webcasts, and conference calls and succeed at sharing the MonaVie opportunity. One thing we learned really quickly was just how much growing we had to do. Our upline Susie Puyol has always said, 'MonaVie is a personal development system with a compensation plan attached.' This is so true! We also learned the value of plugging into all events.

"We knew right away we didn't want to continue paying for the product. We had a tasting seven days after getting started in MonaVie. We have been on AutoShip from the first month and haven't ever paid for the juice again. Within the first year, I was laid off after 19 years as a truck driver. "Knowing what you have, going after it, and not letting the naysayers deter you is so critically important. It took four beliefs for us to succeed: 1.) Belief that God brought this opportunity. 2.) Belief in the product. 3.) Belief in the company. 4.) And, most importantly, belief in ourselves that we could do this! If you have never done something like this before, listen to the CD's of other successful men and woman. Turn off the news, and fill your mind with good stuff. This will give you the edge over the regular-thinking people.

"We drink the juice as a family, and we build the business as a family. Our children have their own dream boards. When we hit a new pin, they are rewarded for their support. We want to show them that working for goals and dreams is so worthwhile. We are also teaching them about 'roots and wings, not loot and things.'

"MonaVie is truly a family business and it's wonderful to be able to earn a trip like this for our family and see the reward for working hard and sharing this wonderful product and company with those we love.

"Our upline Hawaiian Blue Diamonds Dan and Maranda Williams have told us from the beginning of this journey that consistent, positive action every day is what it takes to become successful in this business. We have had our ups and downs like everyone, but we made a commitment to our friends, family, and, most importantly, to ourselves to see this through. The only difference is that the more we do it, the better we get at it.

"Do the basics. There's no magic bullet to being successful. Build a list, share the product and the opportunity with others, identify those who are looking, and don't get discouraged by those who aren't. It may not be their time. I think lots of people don't give themselves the opportunity to improve personally and professionally. This is a business and you should treat it as such. Continuing education is part of every industry, and MonaVie has so many opportunities to improve your skills. "My MonaVie journey began in March 2006 when I was introduced to the product by Brenda Prudhomme at a gas station. I started drinking the juice strictly for my health. When I learned of the business opportunity, I began to share it with others and my business started to grow. I am so excited for the new enthusiasm and excitement we have as a team, and the growth we are experiencing every week!

"This road has not always been easy. I have learned a lot of lessons along the way. I now begin my days asking the Lord for direction. That has made the biggest difference in my personal life, as well as in my business.

"We are so very excited to have qualified for the Cruise! We've set some high goals that we want to achieve, and it may surprise some people to learn that these goals are about our distributors and not us. We dream of having our friends, who have decided to partner with us, make the rank of Diamond. We believe in network marketing and the MonaVie products. We also believe that with God all things are possible. Just knowing about MonaVie is a blessing that we want to share with others.

"If you want to be successful in MonaVie, you must plug yourself into a duplicable system. You must be persistent and flexible, and love to party! We have weekly strategy sessions where we set aside time to plan and brainstorm on who needs help where. We like to take that time to communicate with our leaders about how we can help our newest team members go Star, Star 500, and Star 1000. We plan Tasting Parties and post them to our team schedule. Posting our schedule is important so that the newest distributors can plan their week.

A More Meaningful Life: Scott Rilett Is Unlearning Bad Habits from His Past to Change His Future

Once approaching 400 pounds, Star 1,000 Scott Rilett from Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, is now close to weighing less than 200 pounds with the help of MonaVie RVL. Like many obese people, Scott's battle with weight started when he was a child.

"Being raised in a household where our main food staples were read meat, large portions of potatoes, and very small portions of basic vegetables like corn, carrots, and peas (all of which were smothered in butter), it was hard to learn how and what to eat," Scott says. "Not knowing any better, I continued to eat like this into my teens and early 20s."

Another factor that contributed to Scott's weight gain was his lack of physical activity. A shy kid, Scott mostly kept to myself and preferred to spend his time reading, writing, or playing video games. He admits that he rarely went outside to play with friends or ride bikes, and he wasn't into sports.

"As an overweight child, obviously you can see how I could be made fun of," Scott says. "After all, other children can be cruel. Not wanting to do things because I was overweight coupled with the jokes and tormenting from other kids, my weight continued to build. It became a never-ending cycle until it was out of control."

As he got older, Scott started to become more aware of his potentially deadly situation. His final wakeup call came when his father developed diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and had double bypass heart surgery—all due to issues with weight.

"I knew I needed to change my lifestyle or else I was going to end up just like him," Scott says.

Scott's first foray into weight loss was fad diets. He tried every diet out there—no carbs, all carbs, no protein, all protein. Whatever it was he tried, he could never seem to get any results. Then, he was introduced to MonaVie RVL.

"A longtime friend told me about MonaVie RVL," Scott remembers. "Having tried everything else out there, I was a bit skeptical. But, with a little (ok, more like a lot!) of persuasion, I decided to try it."

From the start, Scott was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use of MonaVie RVL. With previous programs, Scott would run out of steam after the program became too cumbersome. He found this to be the opposite case with MonaVie RVL.

"MonaVie RVL is one of the easiest products out there," Scott says. "A simple shake, a bar, and a supplement twice a day, and no huge prep work is necessary. I needed something easy and simple because I lose ambition if something becomes a chore. I also needed a product that was conducive to my 12-hour work shift but still packed a lot of punch. I found it with MonaVie RVL!"

Since he began his RVL program in March, Scott has lost 130 pounds. At his heaviest, he was close to 355 pounds. Now, he is down to 225. Along with the pounds, he's cut 14 inches from his waist and says he's gained tons of energy to be more active.

"My results speak for themselves, and it makes me happy and excited and pushes me to keep at it," he says. "The hardest part was having to give up 20 years of bad eating habits: breads, pop, and junk food, all of which I loved. But when I see RVL working, it just makes me want to keep going."

Not only has MonaVie helped Scott get his weight back under control, he says it's helping him to lead a more meaningful life because he can now do things he was never able to do before like play with his two nephews without feeling tired or winded. With his new body, he's also enjoying the little things that most people take for granted.

"I flew to Vancouver the other day," Scott says, "and something as simple as being able to fit into an airplane seat is nice. It's things like this that when I look back to how I used to be, it makes me happy that I've changed my life in such a dramatic way. Without MonaVie and the opportunities it has given me, I would still be stuck in the same bad rut I was in."

Scott's goal now is to spread the word about this life-changing opportunity and to help people with the same problems he's had.

"I want to show people that there is a product and a group of people out there that can help, will help, and do care about them," he says. "I've now learned how to eat properly. I have a personal trainer, and I'm becoming more active in sports. I'm unlearning everything from my past so I can change my future. My name is Scott Rilett, and I am MonaVie!"
