Update: Maria Dyment Places 2nd at Sandra Wickham Fall Classic 2011

On November 7, Maria Dyment told us about her RVLutionary transformation and her goal to place in the top three at the Sandra Wickham Fall Classic 2011. We are very pleased to report that Maria represented MonaVie exceptionally by winning two second-place trophies in the lightweight and grand master categories, as well as earning overall best poser honors. The victories mean that Maria has also achieved another of her goals—qualifying for the 2012 British Columbia Championships!

"With 106 friends, family, and business associates in attendance, MonaVie left quite a footprint and definitely had a victorious weekend at the Sandra Wickham Fall Classic," Maria says. "Now, I'm off to the gym to prepare for the British Columbia Championships!"

Congratulations, Maria!

Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Pat and Alan Carron

Congratulations to Pat and Alan Carron from Tryon, North Carolina, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"When we heard MonaVie was offering a free cruise, we looked at our teammates to see who we could help reach that goal for we learned early on that when you are helping someone else, you are actually helping yourself!

"We know it was a 'God-thing,' the way we were introduced to our wonderful MonaVie products back in January 2008. When Pat was invited to a tasting party, she decided to go after she was assured it wasn't a wine-tasting party but that it was a product derived from rare and nutritious fruits and was very beneficial to our health. For all her three score and 10 years (and more), Pat's been a vegetarian and has never even tasted meat of any kind. She was taught from her childhood that natural is usually the best way to go. So, she went to that first tasting, heard several amazing personal testimonies, and the rest is history!

"Our lives have both been totally transformed! We feel like we're 50 again! Are we excited about MonaVie? You betcha we are! We drink Pulse, (M)mūn, and Active every day and would hate to ever be without them. Plus, we both drink RVL shakes almost every day. Pat has lost over 25 pounds on the MonaVie RVL program. The fun part is we both still look forward to those delicious shakes!

"We teamed up with our upline Golds Claudia and Stan Simpson when we first engaged in the business. Wherever they were doing a tasting, we were there with our new distributors and friends. When we learned they were about to reach Ruby in the summer of 2008, we ran with them. And, when they skipped right over Ruby and ended up as Emeralds, we found ourselves as new Golds!

"A year later when we found out on a Saturday night that they had hit Diamond for the first time, we called and asked how many times they needed to hit that level to be a qualified Diamond. Their answer was two more times, and we said, 'Don't worry about your points because Pat's gonna get on the phone and call everyone she knows to help you with that.' Claudia called on Thursday night of their second qualifying week and said, 'You know what? If we hit Diamond again this week, we are pretty sure you two will hit Ruby!' And that, we all did!

"Praise be to God who gives to His children abundantly, more than we could ever hope or ask for! We've had some ups and downs along the way, as we've personally sponsored over 160 distributors and several preferred customers. We feel that we are offering folks a blessing when we take our precious time to share MonaVie with them, so we use the three-foot rule: if someone gets within three feet of Pat, she can usually figure out some way to get acquainted and get their email and phone number so she can call them later to invite them to a tasting party, a one-on-one, or just share the good news about MonaVie over the phone.

"We tell our teammates not to worry about getting a 'no,' as it may just mean they got up on the wrong side of the bed, had a bad hair day, or the timing just isn't right. Always try to leave the door open by asking their permission to check back with them a little later to let them know how it's going for you. I also like what Bo Van Pelt shared with us at a Charlotte meeting a while back. He tells people that he realizes it may or may not be for them but would like for them to just come to one tasting party so they can make an educated decision. That kind of puts them at ease when they hear him say he knows it might or might not be for them. Thanks, Bo! That little nugget has helped us a bunch!

"One of our Golds, Marilee and Don Matz, also took up the Cruise for Gold challenge with us, and we all qualified together. We are hoping that several more of our teammates will be able to make it too, as we have pledged to do all we can to help them. It's always achieved by team effort, not by picking yourself up by your own bootstraps. We are looking forward to meeting other Cruise for Golders, getting better acquainted with our awesome corporate team, and receiving the training on how we can 'get-er-done,' as one of our favorites, Matt Curtis, so often says!"

Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Jason and Kara Lehr

Congratulations to Jason and Kara Lehr from De Winton, Alberta, Canada, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"We are excited about recently going Gold. It seemed easier than we thought it would be once we were committed. The products made such a difference in our own lives, and it's easy for others to notice the changes and feed off of it.

"Jason and I are no strangers to patience and hard work. We both grew up in families that taught us hard work and patience are the foundation for success. This has proven true on so many levels in our life together. Knowing that there are trials of earning a happy life only adds to the greatness of achieving your goals. For without faith and hard work, nothing we achieve could ever feel so great.

"At the 'I Am MonaVie' Tour meeting in Edmonton, I was impressed with Henry Marsh's presentation on passion and mediocrity. I realized then how much of my life has been compromised by just settling. Somewhere among all my failed attempts at entrepreneurship I lost my drive to succeed in anything. I settled for mediocrity, and I wasn't very happy about that.

"Jason discovered MonaVie while our three children and I were defrosting in Los Angeles visiting with my family. He called me one day and told me that he started drinking this juice called MonaVie Active to help with his knee. By the time I came home, his knee was nearly 100 percent, he had lost nearly 20 pounds on MonaVie RVL, and he was selling cases of MonaVie Active and MonaVie (M)mūn to his friends and patients. Within six weeks, we made it to Bronze. A few weeks after that, we were Gold Executives and are going on an all-expense-paid cruise to the Bahamas!

"The best part of this quick but powerful journey is how we have finally found something that we both are truly passionate about. This is something that our entire family can be involved in. My daughters are in competitive soccer and they provide ample opportunities to help the young and growing athlete population with their aches and pains. Parents of athletes are always looking for ways to help their kids be the best they can be. Between EMV drinks before games, RVL for breakfast, and Active and (M)mūn to keep them healthy, we've found a great market that really helps our friends and aids in our goal to be financially independent.

"We absolutely love the MonaVie methodology and the products. We've never met anyone who couldn't benefit from at least one of MonaVie's products. It sells itself. We are merely a vehicle for the introduction. So, in addition to promoting our favorite clothing stores, hair salons, and restaurants—with no compensation from those businesses—we simply choose to share our MonaVie experience with our friends.

"We encourage all to share the opportunity with everyone. Sometimes it takes time for others to rethink the opportunity and warm up to the invitation. I've had friends who originally weren't interested in getting involved come back to me later once they had time to think about it.

"Follow the advice of those that have gone before you. Sometimes simpler is better. The products really do sell themselves. Just be there, and be the one to give the opportunity to others. With all the recognition MonaVie is getting with their products and incentives for distributors, people are going to want to know more. Why not let it be you who shares that with them?"

Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Thomas and Jeanette Smylie

Congratulations to Thomas and Jeanette Smylie from Santa Rosa, California, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"Qualifying for this trip is just more proof that we are with the right company. Before we got into MonaVie, I only dreamed of a Caribbean cruise. I never thought I would actually be on one, let alone going on one for free!

"Our goal is to talk to at least two people a day about MonaVie. Tom and I team up and use our strengths to do this business. He likes talking in front of people at tasting parties. I like to build relationships with people and build in depth. We do something MonaVie every day. We do it as we live our lives. We didn't get into MonaVie; MonaVie got into us.

"MonaVie has made it so much simpler to achieve the ranks with 1, 2, Free! and Cruise for Gold. We feel people want something to be excited about. They want what we have, so we show them how to get it. Sponsor new people by telling them what you're doing. You have to believe it's obtainable. Help your team qualify, and you will qualify.

"We will do whatever it takes to help our friends qualify for the trip. It will be more fun if our friends are with us. We stay in touch with our team and are doing lots of one-on-ones, tasting parties, and phone calls to help the team grow.

"The leadership and integrity of the company is what we love about MonaVie. The corporate team is phenomenal, always on top of the trends and looking out for the distributors' best interests. I don't know of any other company that gives so many achievable incentives. Everything MonaVie does is first class. There is no other company I would want to be with, and our team feels the same. We can't wait to see what corporate has in store for us. Socializing and making new friends from all over is so exciting. We're also really excited about leaving the chilly winter weather for the warm sunshine.

"The team is our backbone and support. Without them, none of this would be possible. We have created lifelong friendships and have committed to never quit until every last person has achieved their goals. We work very closely to teach others how to do what we have done. Special thanks to our upline Black Diamond Mick and Vick Karshner and Blue Diamond Adam Nichols. Great leaders and friends! MonaVie is for everybody regardless of background. If you have big dreams and you're willing to reach for them, MonaVie is an excellent vehicle to help you achieve them."

Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Sophie and Michael Bokinskie

Congratulations to Sophie and Michael Bokinskie from Bismarck, North Dakota, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"Qualifying for the trip means a lot to our family. It was timed perfectly for us to get out of North Dakota for the cold winter and our six-year wedding anniversary! We are very excited and grateful!

"When we heard about this opportunity for the cruise, we were excited and went for it! We found some distributors who were as excited as us in surrounding towns and did several tasting parties in those towns. The key for us was going back to those places again and again. Never stopping after one party, we kept going and continue to do so, creating so much fire it can keep growing. Along with doing parties, we are constantly making phone calls to our team and their teams. Daily disciplines build character! We try to stay disciplined and make a minimum of 10 calls daily.

"What helped us be successful is getting people to the big events. Bob Robinson came to Bismarck, North Dakota, and we packed it out! Also, our amazing upline Renita and Scott Brannan were a huge help and blessing!

"Become more passionate and believe! I can always tell the difference between someone who is genuinely fired up and someone who is faking it. Call everyone in your organization and inform them of the MonaVie Perks program. We did and reactivated several people!

"We are looking forward to being on the cruise and surrounding ourselves with likeminded individuals! We are so blessed and thankful for the MonaVie opportunity!"

Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—George and Samantha Grijalva

Congratulations to George and Samantha Grijalva from Camas, Washington, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"When we heard about the Cruise for Gold, we knew that God willing there was no way that ship was going to set sail without us and others on our team. We were determined to make it happen! When we actually qualified, we were jump-up-and-down excited.

"Although spending time in the Bahamas will be great and like our sponsors Andre and Penny Walton say, 'There's nothing like getting treatment by MonaVie,' neither of those were the reasons we wanted to go. Looking long-term, we know that what will be most valuable is the time we will get to spend being trained by the corporate leaders of MonaVie. We can't even imagine what we will bring back in terms of experience, lifelong memories, new friends, training, and a whole new level of conviction. And, I guess if we have to spend a day or two on the beach, we won't complain.

"We tell everyone on our team that it's not too late to qualify for this trip. Whether they're a new distributor or they've been around for a while, anyone can still qualify. Momentum happens fast when you put action behind your desire. As leaders, we are doing our best to lead by example. We believe in our team, and we are passionate about helping them succeed.

"We recently read a book called Go For NO!, which gave us a new and fresh perspective to never get discouraged. To succeed big, you have to fail big and often. It doesn't matter how many times you hear 'no,' there is a 'yes' around the corner. We are living proof that 'no' just means 'not yet' because we told our sponsors 'no' for three and a half years. We are so glad we didn't miss out on this incredible adventure called MonaVie and so grateful that God finally opened up our eyes to see the big picture. We almost missed the boat…literally!

"MonaVie is such a generous company to provide us with trips and incentives that make it even more rewarding to reach your goals. We know this is just the first of many more trips to come for us. We're so excited that we get to build a team of friends to travel the world with and help them make their dreams come true. Does it get any better than that? With MonaVie, it actually does because somehow they find a way to keep making the best even better!"

Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Duncan and Cindi McNabb

Congratulations to Duncan and Cindi McNabb from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"It is truly a blessing to qualify for yet another free trip offered by MonaVie, a company that supersedes most in all respects and portrays the refreshing concept (that few companies exemplify) of rewarding work well done by those who achieve results through consistency and action. We have never received comparable recognition from our past careers as a computer software representative (Cindi) and helicopter pilot (Duncan).

"After a rather skeptical beginning (Cindi was less than enthused about the business) and due diligence of researching the product, leadership, and corporate values, the opportunity and potential was inevitable, providing a newfound hope of making a difference in our family's and friend's lives. The bonus was the health and energy we garnered along the way!

"Our road to Emerald was not without challenges and frustration, but the growing realization during our four-year journey to date was that if we wanted to change our circumstances, we had to change. We were products of our own doing and desired to live a life of significance and contribute to others wishing to achieve the same. Once we realized the secret to success would be dependent upon our own actions and attitudes, we quickly became receptive students of an incredible opportunity.

"This is what we found: Grasp the MonaVie philosophy of exuding excellence in everything you do. Reflect and evaluate your own personal well being and that of your family. Build and nurture relationships, share the MonaVie products, and genuinely listen to those around you—family, friends, co-workers, or acquaintances. This is a concept that will open the door to unlimited possibilities.

"MonaVie provides exemplary products and leads with integrity. It offers the resources and training to direct distributors to maintain and exceed a level of excellence with regard to product and business. Take advantage of the resources that are available, including the current events that are accessible via MonaVie Media Center and the multi-faceted social media promoting the world of MonaVie. Accurate knowledge creates belief. Belief builds confidence. And, confidence enables you to achieve great things!

"When the opportunity arises to share, keep it simple and short. Everyone has the potential of succeeding in the world of MonaVie. Learn and develop the basic skills of contacting others, sharing the phenomenal products, following through with those you have spoken to, and taking action. Activity creates results, and results are generously rewarded in MonaVie!

"We are excited to be included on the Cruise for Gold and to grow additional relationships within the MonaVie family. We are really looking forward to the unveiling and teaching of MVP! It is a privilege to be part of the MonaVie family! We are MonaVie!"

Cruise for Gold Qualifier—Daniela Goia

Congratulations to Daniela Goia from Garden Grove, California, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what she had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"I feel blessed that I am part of the MonaVie family and am thrilled that MonaVie is the company that is the best for the world and not just the best in the world. MonaVie truly cares, and it shows in what they do.

"I joined MonaVie in October 2009. Initially, I was very skeptical. I thought that this is a gimmick and it's impossible to make it. Boy, was I wrong! I am a tax accountant and a pastor's wife, and I was drinking the juice and saw firsthand its health benefits. I saw that I get paid by sharing it with my children, family, friends, and others.

"I started telling others to join in and enroll and started to build a nice team where we all work for one and one for all. Using the team approach and being honest pays off. Not only did I reach Ruby Executive, but in the process, I made new friends and helped shape other people's lives for the better. At the same time, I am enriching my life.

"I am proud to say that I am a mother of five, and all my children and my brothers and sisters are in MonaVie. We all drink the juice and spread the good news about the MonaVie opportunity. I feel blessed that MonaVie helped unite my entire family.

"Don't get me wrong: MonaVie is hard work, and you need to reach out to people who have a negative outlook about life and help change their outlook and get them onto your team. This is not an easy task. However, changing somebody's life for the better is such a rewarding experience. After all, God created us to be people of action, examples, and mentors—to do unto others as you would want to be done to you.

"You need to make yourself available and be a beacon of light. Draw people to you by the example you set yourself to be. If you want to lead, then you set the standard and others will follow. Be a leader and not a follower, and see what mighty things will happen!

"MonaVie is a duplication, but it's also a multiplication. And, as my husband, Dionisie Goia, says, 'It's all about mathematics.' Discouragement is the opposite of encouragement. Failing is the opposite of succeeding. And, giving up is the opposite of making it. I choose to be the opposite of today's mainstream. Positive thinking and a positive outlook gets you far in life. As my mentor, Bear Harris, says (and I believe it wholeheartedly), 'Start by changing one person, and you change a family. From there, you change a community, and, in turn, you change a nation. Ultimately, you change the world, one person at a time.' Thank you, Bear, for instilling this in me early on.

"The Cruise for Gold is a way for MonaVie to say thank you to its people. It's also an enticement tool to get you to push hard to build volume. Tell me which company today does something like this to reward their distributors, even though they have not reached the top executive positions yet? I tell you no company does it like MonaVie."

A More Meaningful Life: Child Phenom Averi Doktorczyk Chases Gymnastics Dreams

When you look at nine-year-old Averi Doktorczyk's growing collection of gymnastics trophies, you would think that she's one of those athletes who was blessed with inherent, supernatural ability in her chosen sport.

All totaled, Averi has been awarded 32 medals, including 10 first-place and six second-place honors. On November 7, 2011, Averi placed first in her level at the California State South Sectional, receiving the highest score out of nearly 500 competitors. Pretty impressive for someone whose competitive gymnastics career is only nine months old and spans a total of just eight competitions. But for a girl who is racking up awards with seeming ease, the road to this point has been anything but easy.

As with any sport, talent and timing are chief aspects to excelling at gymnastics. Although Averi first took up the sport at 18 months old and has attended Southern California Elite Gymnastics Academy in Temecula, California, since the age of three, her former classmates excelled at a pace far greater than Averi's, moving up to the competitive level 1–2 seasons before she did.

"It was hard watching the other kids sail past her," says Jolene Doktorczyk, Averi's mother and MonaVie Emerald Executive. "There were times when I would ask her if she wanted to do other sports. The answer always came back 'no.'"

While Averi was battling to overcome her obstacles in the gym, her parents Jolene and Ryan were joining forces to fight their own battle—one that's become all too familiar for families across the country.

"When we were first introduced to MonaVie, the sole source of income for our family was real estate," Jolene says. "And, as everyone knows, the real estate industry was one of the first and hardest hit by the recession. Without the income from our MonaVie business, Averi's dreams would have died three years ago."

With MonaVie handling the financial part, Averi handled her part by having a strong work ethic in practice and staying determined and focused on improving her skills. In 2010, her hard work finally paid off as she got her opportunity to join the competitive team. Her accomplishments since then speak for themselves, and she was recently invited into TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program), which is designed to train select athletes at a faster pace for higher level competition.

Jolene says the fact that MonaVie has enabled her daughter to continue the sport she loves is not lost on Averi. In fact, Jolene says that Averi and her sister Savannah are two of the most fearless unofficial distributors she's ever seen.

"When things were just getting started for us they would say, 'Come on, mom, we need to go to the park and meet some people to get in our business,'" Jolene recalls. "They would talk to everyone about MonaVie."

Averi's enthusiasm for sharing MonaVie extends to her gymnastics team as well. When her Elite coaches joked that any and all snacks brought into the gym had to be shared with the staff, Averi quickly saw an opportunity and seized it.

"She shared the MonaVie RVL Snack Bars and is now trading bars for private lessons," Jolene says. "We've even signed one of her coaches on as a distributor by sharing the new MonaVie Perks program."

In addition to providing the funds to keep her competing, MonaVie has made an impact on the fourth-grader's health. During the winter season, while many of her teammates are sidelined for weeks with the flu, Averi has enjoyed interruption-free practices and training with the aid of MonaVie (M)mūn. Jolene says that Averi's crown jewel is the chocolate berry MonaVie RVL Shake and RVL Snack Bars.

"Gymnasts burn so many calories," she says, "and RVL is the answer for high-quality nutrition to meet the demands of her workouts."

Averi is currently preparing for the 2011 State Championships, November 19–20. Her long-term goals are to go to college on a full scholarship, make the U.S. National Team, compete in the Olympics, and one day open a gym of her own. Jolene is as proud as a mother can be of her daughter's ambition and drive. But, she says the quality of person that Averi is developing into is far more valuable than any tangible success she attains—an attribute that was demonstrated no better than at a recent Sectional meet.

A special perk that SCEGA gives to the team's top scorer for each level is the privilege of taking home the team trophy for the weekend. When one of Averi's friends made it into the "37 club" (an extremely difficult feat of earning an all-around score of 37 or higher) at this particular meet, Averi was so genuinely thrilled for her that she let her friend take the team trophy home for one of the two nights that Averi was entitled to.

"We can all agree that winning is cool," Jolene says. "But, character is priceless."
