Cruise for Gold Qualifier—Ron Allen

Congratulations to Ron Allen from Burns, Tennessee, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what he had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"I have been a military medic of some type for almost 30 years, and I now work as a public safety officer (police, fire, and EMT-paramedic). At the time I was introduced to MonaVie, I had gained quite a bit of weight and had significant joint-health issues. My uncle and I were building a deck on my house, and MonaVie was the last thing I wanted to hear about. When we quit for the night, my uncle got me to watching some of the MonaVie videos. One video in particular helped me decide to try the juice for my health. I had never been involved in network marketing and had no plans to get involved.

"After three weeks of using MonaVie Active, I woke up realizing that I was experiencing some amazing health benefits. I had Guard Drill in April 2009 and mentioned the acai berry to a couple of doctors in my unit. They signed up instantly, and it scared me; I thought I had said something wrong! I was excited now, and I was on the phone calling everyone I could think of. As soon as I got home, I signed up three more over the phone! All I did for the next few months was pour juice (one-on-ones) and put people in the business. I didn't even know about area meetings, but I had been doing the MonaVie University trainings online. I recommend that all new distributors do those classes.

"I met my upline Ruby and Black Diamond for the first time at an open meeting after being in the business for five months. (I live quite a distance from them.) In 2010, I flew to Kansas City, Missouri, and met with a friend I had enrolled over the phone. We heard the Kalbs, Roushes, and Curtises all in one day. That was a major event for me. The no-nonsense style of Charlie and Matt reminded me too much of myself.

"For the next year, all I did was pour and enroll; however, very few wanted to work the business, and it took me longer than I would have liked to get to Silver and Gold. One night, my sponsors (William and Kathy Koffman), our upline Ruby (Leslie Vannucci), and I decided we needed to start promoting on an organized, regular basis starting with a monthly area meeting. The consistency of regular meetings helps others promote MonaVie, and that helps them advance. We are able to work as a team and share ideas. These meetings are also a way to invite new prospects who are kind of shy about having tasting parties or even doing one-on-ones.

"When MonaVie RVL became available, I was chomping at the bit to try it. Since the juice made me feel as good as it did, I knew RVL had to have some of the properties I had come to expect from MonaVie. Where I work, we have a 'Biggest Loser' competition every year from January to March. I won this year with 37 pounds lost in 12 weeks. That turned a few heads, and now I can truly be a testimony because my co-workers see the results. I did a filmed demonstration at a meeting and put it on Facebook and YouTube. I became a Gold Executive three weeks later.

"My advice is to promote the juice to your family and friends first! I have heard this from Matt Curtis, Charlie Kalb, Rob Alwin, Jim Rohn, and others. When you start making money in MonaVie but you have never introduced the opportunity to your friends and family, you will become the 'less-liked' family member. When all the Black Diamonds you meet or hear say the same thing, listen! I tell everyone I can about MonaVie and promote it everywhere I drive. When you believe in a product and use it yourself, it will sell. People will see your enthusiasm and passion, and they will see the results. I feel the sky is the limit with MonaVie!"

Cruise for Gold Qualifier—Colleen King

Congratulations to Colleen King from Hampstead, New Hampshire, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what she had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"When I heard about the Cruise for Gold promotion, I knew that I wanted to qualify and that I needed to do more than just write my goal down and post it on my fridge. So Labor Day weekend, I called Bob Robinson and my soon-to-be Black Diamond Robert Callaway and told them my intentions. Their advice echoed in my head every day: 'Whatever you're doing, do a little bit more' and 'Teamwork makes the dream work.' Now the pressure was really on because I wasn't going back on my word!

"Having worked for AT&T/Lucent Technologies for 24 years, I knew what pressure was and that with corporate America, you always had to watch your back! What I didn't know was how much my life was going to change when my friend, Carmine, invited my husband, TK, and I to a tasting party three years ago! At the time, I was the Code Enforcement Officer for our small New Hampshire town of 8,900 residents. No way was I doing juice; I do Land Use! My husband turned to me and said, 'We should do this because you can talk to anybody.' I am so grateful that TK fully supports me in sharing this opportunity!

"With four months to qualify, how would I get this done? I had been reading, listening, and participating, and it was time to put the pedal to the metal and really focus. Remembering what Robert said about teamwork, I locked arms with two brand new distributors, Leesa and Bob Goudreaultin, in September and made a plan. We made new lists and lots of phone calls.

"With India opening in November, we zeroed in on business owners who would have contacts in India. Another nugget of wisdom I learned by participating is 'Build your business at home to look like the world.' We also changed our attitude about getting the dreaded 'no.' Our new strategy was to get at least 20 'no' answers a week and we would surely talk to someone who could see this amazing opportunity. I also asked God for help every day to have my words be favorably received by the people I spoke to. I knew I needed His divine intervention!

"We did have our share of obstacles to overcome, and I am so thankful that we had the support and encouragement of our wonderful upline and dear friends, Robert Callaway and Jim and Karen Kane to talk to and counsel with through it all. I was really counting on several people who had huge potential, and after many weeks they said 'no.' Then, in early fall, a spot appeared on the tip of my nose and wouldn't go away. I was scheduled for surgery in December and would be cut the length of my nose up to myforehead. We had a real sense of urgency. I needed to talk to this particular Indian businessman as soon as possible. From November 4 to Thanksgiving week, I went back five times; but, we kept missing each other. Then, Bob's dad passed away very suddenly Thanksgiving week. We were physically and emotionally drained, but we kept going.

"I finally got to see my Indian businessman mid-December. By this time, I had two big black eyes, bruises to my chin, and bandages. The spot had grown to the size of a dime—not a pretty sight! I decided that I just wouldn't look in a mirror and acted as if I were the picture of health. In the last two weeks of the qualification period, we signed up 14 new distributors, including an orthopedic surgeon, five people from India, and one from Brazil! Our last person signed up on December 23, with Leesa and Bob also hitting Bronze Executive level! And, I still had all my Christmas shopping to do!

"My advice to others in sharing MonaVie is to realize that this is not about you or how you look. Focus on the buried dreams and what is tugging at the hearts of those people you talk to. Ask them why they love what they are doing now, and they will tell you everything they don't like about it and all the headaches. Then, you have their 'why!' A huge thank you goes out to Jim and Karen Kane, who were a daily sounding board for me during these up-and-down times. They kept reminding me that breakthroughs happen when things are the toughest and to keep pushing forward. Our whole team is feeling the momentum and a huge surge of energy, and there will definitely be more qualifiers on the next Cruise for Gold!

"It means a lot to our family to qualify for Cruise for Gold, especially Amy. She has been doing so much to help us succeed with MonaVie, and I am so excited for her to get a break to enjoy herself.

"Qualifying for the trip is very simple, and you have heard it a hundred times: duplicate everything that is working for others. It is that simple. Plug into your upline. Do not do anything differently. This seems so obvious, but knowing and doing are two different things. Master the basics. As the old poker saying goes, 'five minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master.' Just keep plugging away by sharing the plan to everyone and never quitting.

"The last thing you need to succeed in MonaVie or anything is an indestructible personality. Successful people realize the game is never over until they win. Just keep playing until you win. Successful people truly believe they can have, be, or do anything they want. If you can do those few things, then you will come to realize the champion inside you. Cruise for Gold Qualifiers—Mike and Kelli Bonomo

Congratulations to Mike and Kelli Bonomo from Herscher, Illinois, on qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip! Here's what they had to say about qualifying for the cruise…

"Mike and I started this business with one motive: we loved the product, and we didn't want to pay for it! The idea of starting another business was not at the top of our list. Mike works full time for the state of Illinois, and I was a hairdresser four days a week as well as running an in-home personal training and nutrition company. In addition, we are also promoters of an amateur fight organization called Fire Extreme Fighting that features amateur level MMA fighters. On average, we do 4–5 events a year.

"Greater than all of those obligations are the loves of our lives, our children, whom are involved in several extracurricular activities. Needless to say, the idea of even starting another 'project' was inconceivable. We just had 'no time' like everyone else on the planet! However, when we paid for our product within the first month of being involved, we decided that a few extra bucks in our pocket may help with gas and vacations. We hit the level of Silver in six weeks and knew that we could never turn back.

"Our children became just as involved in tasting parties as we were. They would pour the juice and even explain to potential consumers which juices were for what. It became a family project. So to us, qualifying for the Cruise for Gold trip means so much more than hitting the next level. It means proving to our children that with great sacrifice comes great reward, a lesson we will continue to instill into their lives.

"We have developed some lifelong relationships with some truly awesome and amazing people—our second family, our MonaVie team. Our upline Blue Diamond Jerry Dowd, Diamond Jeff Delany, and Ruby Stephanie McCormick have become the most motivational and inspiring people that God could have placed into our lives. They, along with our extraordinary downline of ambitious, likeminded, and goal-oriented people, give Mike and I the hope that we can continue to inspire each and every one of them that the sky is the limit. This can be done!

"We pray over our lives and our business. We ask God to be at the forefront of what is to come of MonaVie. We have learned to place our trust and our success in his will. We know that God's timing is the best timing, and nothing can compete with that! We know what we have in MonaVie, and we are determined to fulfill our dreams and those of our family. "We listen to several motivational speakers including Rex Crain, Myles Monroe, and Joyce Meyer to name a few. Your personal growth will determine how well your business will grow. These are all things that we do on a daily basis, as well as staying plugged into every big event and conference call, and staying up to date on all the tips and nuggets that you can learn from anyone that is in this business.

"We really added in more one-on-ones. We realized that our success rate was definitely higher when we took the time to meet individually with people. This is absolutely something that we stepped up and will continue to do, as we believe that it has helped us build so many relationships. We have also started holding more frequent meetings at our home where we all get together to talk about new things, re-motivate one another, make phone calls, and really build relationships. These are the people that we are going to be going to Hawaii with, so we want to get to know them better!

"Persevere, work hard, stay motivated, and stay plugged in. You have to do something every day. Help your organization build depth because this becomes depth under you. If you want to be successful, you have to put others before yourself. 1 Peter 4:10 says that 'Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.' We live these words through our business. You have to be willing to help those that God brings into your path with your gifts and talents; however, you also have to be willing to accept the help of those that want to do the same for you. If you work your business as a group of goal-oriented people out to make a difference in as many lives as you can, God will bless that. You have to be a blessing in someone's life in order for God to bless you.

"Mike and I will continue to help our downline reach levels and build their businesses. We will continue to do one-on-ones and tasting parties. We will continue having everyone over to our home for a distributor night where we may all work on phone calls or setting up dates for the weeks to come, motivating each other, staying plugged into each other, and keeping new distributors plugged in to get them off to the right start. We have been involved with MonaVie now about a year and eight months. We have made some mistakes, and we really feel like we are learning to teach those that are new not to make those same mistakes!"

"Reaching Gold level was very rewarding, and we couldn't have done it without a great team. And, to follow it up with qualifying for the cruise was one of those moments where you quietly jump up, fist pump, and yell at the top of a whisper so you don't wake anyone up just after 11 o'clock Friday night! It means that we can immerse ourselves in the MonaVie family for the whole time on the cruise with little else to do and build a greater belief of going to Diamond and beyond.

"We qualified by contacting people on our list consistently and moving on to the next one when it was obvious that the timing wasn't right for someone. We believe strongly that we have a solution and a vehicle when the time is right for them. Fitting MonaVie into the nooks and crannies of the day is something that anyone can do if they really want to. Having our upline Blue Diamond Byron Moles helping us continually through encouragement, finding solutions, and doing three-way calls made all the difference for us.

"We prayed to God for help that He would put the right people in front of us at the right time and place. We believed that if we were supposed to go on the cruise, the numbers would be there. Then, we just got more focused. Byron helped build the belief that we could get it done with very limited time left, so we kept the faith and pushed for it. Our goal is to put a minimum of five couples on the next cruise by focusing all our efforts in helping them build their teams to Gold and beyond."

"To qualify for the Cruise for Gold was a test to prove to ourselves and our team that we can accomplish what we set out to in this business if we work together.

"Some of our day-to-day activities include focusing on contacting those that we work with—prospects and team members—to make sure the right steps are being taken to achieve goals. Basically we were making sure to follow up with everyone involved at the time. We didn't really change the way we do business; we just focused on doing more of it and made a point to make things happen the way they should be happening all along.

"Get with your team and upline. Make a plan, and then work your plan. Tell yourself that you will do it and that it's going to happen no matter what. If you think that it's going to happen, then it's going to happen. You have to remain positive in all that you do, or the negative side will win and you will quit. And, that's the thing you can't do. Never quit!

"Reach down to those that are striving to build their businesses and help them build. If you help them, you are going to be helping yourself as well; so, why not help build someone else's dream so that you both can be happy!

"A longtime, trusted friend introduced this to us as a business opportunity. We got involved mostly because of the product in the beginning and came to see the business potential more recently. "Qualifying for the Cruise for Gold is such an exciting venture for my husband and me. I can't believe we really pulled it off! This is such a great opportunity to be around likeminded people and learn so much from other Cruise for Gold qualifiers as well as Jeff Graham.

"My friend from high school (and now sponsor) Leslie Faris was very excited about getting started with Monavie. She invited me to her house for a tasting party in Texas. I had heard of MonaVie in my small town in rural Minnesota because someone was selling it in a small coffee shop in the town where I live. My daughter Torrie, who is now a distributor, told me to buy a couple of bottles. She had heard it was really good for you. I did, and my whole family loved it. But when I went back for more, they were out. That was three years ago.

"One day last year, Leslie called and asked me, 'Do you know what Byron Moles does for a living?' Byron and I had gone to high school together as well, and we were now Facebook friends. Byron's status updates always sounded so fun with his travels and motivational updates. I told Leslie, 'I don't know what he is doing, but he certainly took the right path in life!' That is when Leslie told me about his success with MonaVie. So, I took Leslie up on her invite to Texas. I signed up as a distributor on October 16, 2011, and I have been on a whirlwind of fun ever since!

"I have never worked with such helpful and motivated people as Byron and Leslie. I am brand new to community commerce, and I was told by a fellow distributor that it takes a good, strong upline to have a good, strong downline. I believe that to be true! When I returned to Minnesota, I was no longer surrounded by the excitement that had been created in Texas. I was in a small town and needed to create my own excitement quickly because Byron had told me about the Cruise for Gold, and I was determined to be on it!

"I sat down and made two lists just as Todd Hartog had done. One was a list of people who I thought would be interested, and one was a list of people I was going to wave to from my Mercedes. I began listening to the conference calls and watched at least two Black Diamond documentaries a night. Byron, Leslie, and I text like crazy. I watched MonaVie University. I needed to learn as much as I could because I was alone here in the middle of small-town, rural Minnesota.

"I signed up four people in the first two weeks, and from there I told them that I would talk to anyone they wanted me too. All they had to do was set up the meeting place and time. I was offering a case of juice to anyone who had a tasting party. Leslie was offering to match the orders people made, and Byron would offer bottles/cases of juice depending on how much PV was purchased. This was an idea we had received from another couple who qualified for the cruise using techniques like these. It was crazy, fun, and it worked! I was having so much fun. Being a MonaVie distributor is the perfect job for me.

"My husband is now on board with me, and he sets me up with so many people to meet. Because he saw what MonaVie did for me, he started drinking it and feels so much better. I put a sign up in his shop that says 'ASK SHELDON WHY HE IS FEELING BETTER THAN HE HAS IN YEARS!' And, people do ask him constantly.

"I cannot wait to escape from the Minnesota winter and head to the Bahamas with my husband and all the others who share the MonaVie difference. My goal now is to help my downline get to Maui in September! Let's do it! I want to give special thanks to Byron, Leslie, and Shannon Rothmeier. They are a wonderful support system who contact me nearly every day to keep the excitement going strong. Every person who I have shared MonaVie with has his or her own wonderful story about how their lives have improved. I am passionate about MonaVie and love sharing the MORE Project.
