An injury at the workplace resulted in the removal of Kyle Kilman's right fibula, and a consequent post-op infection led to him developing lymphedema in both thighs. Over the ensuing months, Kyle more than doubled in weight and suffered a bout with depression. Then, a friend introduced him to MonaVie RVL. Here's what Kyle had to say about his journey…

Taking pictures is another nightmare. I've never liked the way my body looked, so I would always take the picture myself because I could angle the camera to make myself look better.

During the 1980s, Maria Dyment entered the world of competitive bodybuilding with significant regional success: Miss Fraser Valley 1981, 2^nd Place Miss Okanogan 1985, 2^nd Place Miss British Columbia 1986. When Maria qualified for the Canadian Championships in 1986, she faced a hard and career-altering reality.

"I was made aware that if I wanted to compete at the national level, I would most likely have to get on steroids," Maria says.

A strong believer in natural bodybuilding and unwilling to go down a path of moral compromise, it didn't take Maria very long to make a tough life decision. She retired from competitive bodybuilding in 1986.

Fast forward 25 years—and 60 pounds—into the future, Maria found herself yearning for the weight room and the stage of competition once again. Even during her retirement, her fascination with fitness and the way individuals can change their body composition through nutrition and exercise never died. And, when the Gold Executive lost 50 pounds on the MonaVie RVL program, it was like adding fuel to the flickering embers of a competitive fire within clinging to its last flares of life.

"I got the itch at 50 years old to compete again," Maria says. "I am very competitive and love to work hard, and I know that I can be a successful natural bodybuilder with MonaVie products."

Maria dropped the weight, hit the gym, and set a goal to qualify for the 2012 British Columbia Championships in Kelowna. In order to do that, she will first have to place in the top three in her division at the Sandra Wickham Fall Classic 2011 on November 12, 2011. With MonaVie RVL in her corner, Maria—or, "Mighty Maria," as Black Diamond Executive Jan Prpich calls her—has no doubts she will accomplish her goal.

On January 15, 2011, Cody Weaver from Fredericksburg, Ohio, began his MonaVie RVL journey. Now 127 pounds lighter, this college sophomore says his life will never be the same. Here's what else he had to say about his journey…

"It all began during the middle of my first year in college. At the time, I weighed 280 pounds, was very out of shape, and not healthy. I knew something had to change. My mom had always been worried about my health because severe heart problems run on her side of the family. I knew that there was only one way that my weight could go, and that was down. "I followed the program faithfully and saw results! As I kept getting positive results, my determination and drive kept getting stronger. Before I started on RVL, I could not even run a full mile without stopping. In August 2010, I began running and training with my college's cross-country team. "I'm starting to look and feel like an athlete as well. It has always been a dream of mine to be a healthy all-around athlete. I played baseball and golf in high school, but I was never able to play these sports to my full potential because I was overweight. I now feel much healthier and feel that I am a well-conditioned athlete. I also feel much stronger mentally.

"I now weigh 153 pounds, and I plan on maintaining this weight. I want to continue to get stronger and in better shape.
