"The road to Gold Executive was quite exciting. We are building the business with a wonderful team of friends who love the product and are excited about living a more meaningful life.

"Lonnie and I had careers in the hi-tech industry. He was laid off several times during the course of 20 years, and I was laid off after 23 years. A More Meaningful Life: Cody Weaver Drops Nearly Half His Weight on MonaVie RVL

On January 15, 2011, Cody Weaver from Fredericksburg, Ohio, began his MonaVie RVL journey. Now 127 pounds lighter, this college sophomore says his life will never be the same. Here's what else he had to say about his journey…

"It all began during the middle of my first year in college. At the time, I weighed 280 pounds, was very out of shape, and not healthy. I knew something had to change. My mom had always been worried about my health because severe heart problems run on her side of the family. I knew that there was only one way that my weight could go, and that was down. My Aunt Robin shared MonaVie RVL with my mom and me. I decided that I would give it a try.

"I followed the program faithfully and saw results! As I kept getting positive results, my determination and drive kept getting stronger. Before I started on RVL, I could not even run a full mile without stopping. In August 2010, I began running and training with my college's cross-country team. Today, I can run about eight miles straight.

"I'm starting to look and feel like an athlete as well. It has always been a dream of mine to be a healthy all-around athlete. I played baseball and golf in high school, but I was never able to play these sports to my full potential because I was overweight. I now feel much healthier and feel that I am a well-conditioned athlete. I also feel much stronger mentally.

"I now weigh 153 pounds, and I plan on maintaining this weight. I want to continue to get stronger and in better shape. I thank God for MonaVie RVL and all of the blessings and opportunities he has presented me with because without him none of this would be possible. My weight-loss journey has been a positive change, and my life will never be the same."

"Our journey has been absolutely amazing! God works in wonderful ways. John and I were given a bottle of MonaVie and a Success from Home magazine featuring MonaVie. Call it impulse or 'that little voice;' we knew this was right. We signed up, placed a bulk order, and embraced the opportunity. About one month in we had a light-bulb moment.

"Personally, I realized that I had been going through the motions working a job that I didn't love. This is so not me. I love people—my family, my friends, my God! I love life, and life is precious. "We thank God that our friend called us. The funny thing is, I said, 'No, I am not interested in your product. I helped you out in the last thing you did. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you.' Two weeks later we received a call to come to a tasting party. That was the start of our road to Gold.

"Our sponsors live 1,500 miles away, and they were flying up to share MonaVie with their friends and family. Because friends do what friends do, I went to the tasting. On my way out the door, Phil said, 'I am going with you so you don't buy anything.' At the tasting, it all made sense and Phil was the one to fill out the enrollment form. We met our upline Gold Joel Novoa and heard about how the product was helping his mom's health and the money he was making. The support we have received from Joel and Ginny Novoa has been incredible. They are great people and have become great friends.

"We plugged into a system and stayed in constant contact with our active upline. It is possible for anyone young or old to get good at pointing to CD's, good books, webcasts, and conference calls and succeed at sharing the MonaVie opportunity. One thing we learned really quickly was just how much growing we had to do. Our upline Susie Puyol has always said, 'MonaVie is a personal development system with a compensation plan attached.' Cruise for Gold Promotion Ends December 23, 2011

Qualifying for the Cruise for Gold Promotion just got easier, as we’ve made a couple minor tweaks to two of the four ways to qualify for the trip! (See the chart below.)

In essence, if you were a paid-as Gold Executive on January 1, 2011, the new requirement to qualify for the cruise is to simply meet the Gold Executive qualification for two consecutive weeks between August 27 and December 23, 2011. If you were a paid-as Ruby Executive on January 1, 2011, the new requirement to qualify for the cruise is to simply meet the Ruby Executive qualification for two consecutive weeks between August 27 and December 23, 2011.

For some, these changes will equate to automatic qualification for the cruise. For most others, it provides a little bit simpler way to get themselves to the Bahamas. A More Meaningful Life: Scott Rilett Is Unlearning Bad Habits from His Past to Change His Future

Once approaching 400 pounds, Star 1,000 Scott Rilett from Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, is now close to weighing less than 200 pounds with the help of MonaVie RVL. Like many obese people, Scott's battle with weight started when he was a child.

"Being raised in a household where our main food staples were read meat, large portions of potatoes, and very small portions of basic vegetables like corn, carrots, and peas (all of which were smothered in butter), it was hard to learn how and what to eat," Scott says. "Not knowing any better, I continued to eat like this into my teens and early 20s."

Another factor that contributed to Scott's weight gain was his lack of physical activity. A shy kid, Scott mostly kept to myself and preferred to spend his time reading, writing, or playing video games. He admits that he rarely went outside to play with friends or ride bikes, and he wasn't into sports.

"As an overweight child, obviously you can see how I could be made fun of," Scott says. "After all, other children can be cruel. Not wanting to do things because I was overweight coupled with the jokes and tormenting from other kids, my weight continued to build. It became a never-ending cycle until it was out of control."

As he got older, Scott started to become more aware of his potentially deadly situation. His final wakeup call came when his father developed diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and had double bypass heart surgery—all due to issues with weight.

"I knew I needed to change my lifestyle or else I was going to end up just like him," Scott says.

Scott's first foray into weight loss was fad diets. He tried every diet out there—no carbs, all carbs, no protein, all protein. Whatever it was he tried, he could never seem to get any results. Then, he was introduced to MonaVie RVL.

"A longtime friend told me about MonaVie RVL," Scott remembers. "Having tried everything else out there, I was a bit skeptical. But, with a little (ok, more like a lot!) of persuasion, I decided to try it."

From the start, Scott was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use of MonaVie RVL. With previous programs, Scott would run out of steam after the program became too cumbersome. He found this to be the opposite case with MonaVie RVL.

"MonaVie RVL is one of the easiest products out there," Scott says. "A simple shake, a bar, and a supplement twice a day, and no huge prep work is necessary. I needed something easy and simple because I lose ambition if something becomes a chore. I also needed a product that was conducive to my 12-hour work shift but still packed a lot of punch. I found it with MonaVie RVL!"

Since he began his RVL program in March, Scott has lost 130 pounds. At his heaviest, he was close to 355 pounds. Now, he is down to 225. Along with the pounds, he's cut 14 inches from his waist and says he's gained tons of energy to be more active.

"My results speak for themselves, and it makes me happy and excited and pushes me to keep at it," he says. "The hardest part was having to give up 20 years of bad eating habits: breads, pop, and junk food, all of which I loved. But when I see RVL working, it just makes me want to keep going."

Not only has MonaVie helped Scott get his weight back under control, he says it's helping him to lead a more meaningful life because he can now do things he was never able to do before like play with his two nephews without feeling tired or winded. With his new body, he's also enjoying the little things that most people take for granted.

"I flew to Vancouver the other day," Scott says, "and something as simple as being able to fit into an airplane seat is nice. It's things like this that when I look back to how I used to be, it makes me happy that I've changed my life in such a dramatic way. Without MonaVie and the opportunities it has given me, I would still be stuck in the same bad rut I was in."

Scott's goal now is to spread the word about this life-changing opportunity and to help people with the same problems he's had.

"I want to show people that there is a product and a group of people out there that can help, will help, and do care about them," he says. "I've now learned how to eat properly. I have a personal trainer, and I'm becoming more active in sports. I'm unlearning everything from my past so I can change my future. My name is Scott Rilett, and I am MonaVie!"
