MonaVie EMV Wakeboarder Takes Third at WWA World Championships
Performing in front of a throng of energetic fans clad in MonaVie apparel, MonaVie EMV professional wakeboarder Raimi Merritt overcame heavy rains and stiff competition to place third at the WWA World Championships in Orlando, Florida.
“It was so cool that so many MonaVie fans could come out to watch,” said the 17-year-old Merritt. “It helped to boost my confidence.”
Merritt had a clean run in the semi-finals, executing her tricks exactly as planned on her way to winning her heat; however, in the finals, a downpour of rain caused poor visibility for Merritt. Despite falling twice, she landed many of her maneuvers to finish third overall in the competition and secure her No. 3 ranking in this year’s Queen of Wake.
Merritt will be in Korea, August 28–30, where she will defend her title at the IWSF Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup. For more information about Raimi Merritt, visit www.raimimerritt.com.
