Healthy Living Has Come a Long Way since Jack LaLanne (aka, “The Godfather of Fitness”)

The Information Age has not only changed the way we live and work, it has also changed how we approach health. For example, Jack LaLanne—or the “Godfather of Fitness”—was an enterprising pioneer in the health and wellness industry starting in the late 1930s. Because of him, people started to take notice of what they were eating and how to stay physically active.

We’re proud to say that it’s no different with the MonaVie Founders (Dallin Larsen, Henry Marsh, and Randy Larsen). The three of them are pioneers as well for bringing the exceptional nutritional value of the açai berry to homes around the world.

And it’s wonderful that website publications are taking notice. Check out this article from Examiner.com that mentions MonaVie as a company that is transforming healthy living for people on the go.

The health and fitness information explosion is mostly a good thing. Many of the bearers of the good news are scientists, researchers and health and fitness experts who are fast uncovering some of the wonders of the natural world and its boundless abundance of health benefits for humans on the planet. The discovery of these benefits and fact that the American life expectancy is now is 79 years of age for men and 81 for women, perhaps points to profound new thinking about overall health and lifestyle.

And, many of us have heard about the necessity of good food choices and exercise as essential for sustaining optimal health and vitality. Have we come a long ways since the televised days of the exercise and nutrition guru, Jack LaLanne? The basics haven't changed but the choices for achieving them have. Due to the average busy and demanding daily lifestyle, getting the right nutrition isn't always easy or accessible.

One outcome of this fact is the continued use of vitamin supplements for active Americans. According to the Federal Drug and Food Administration, "there are many good reasons to consider taking vitamin supplements,

·    for certain health problems

·    if you eat a vegetarian or vegan diet

·    if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

There are also amazing health products that nearly guarantee health on the go. One of these products (and there are many) is made from the superfruit Acai Berry, available through a variety of health drinks called Fruit Blends. The company that produces them, MonaVie was founded in 2005 in South Jordan, Utah .The key anti-oxidant ingredients are;

·    AcaVie (Acai Berry)

·    Acerola

·    Apple

·    Aronia

·    Banana

·    Baobab

The Blends include a total of 49 essential ingredients.

While the company began with a tremendous success, the founders had a bigger vision: giving back to the most disadvantaged children and families in places most in need worldwide. Ranked as a Fortune 500 company in 2009, the founders of MonaVie, Dallin Larsen, Randy Larsen and Henry Marsh and one of the company's distributors Doug Rowland, launched The More Project, a working charity that has helped children and their families in Brazil, Thailand and India.

The company project has transformed the lives of many. It has opened schools and provided financial support to the desperately needy and continue to educate Americans about world-wide crippling poverty and disadvantage.

In 2011 the company was awarded the Utah Genius Award. For more about The More Project, log on to Facebook and Twitter.
