Since the news that obesity has become a growing epidemic in the United States, Canada and elsewhere in the Western world, health and nutrition experts have been coming out with new methods to live a healthier lifestyle and to maintain a proper diet. Although the obesity rates have remained steady, a lot more people are becoming health conscious and even perhaps health gurus.

One of the most popular beverages to consume in order to absorb the necessary vitamins and nutrients, facilitate a healthy weight and to improve a person’s overall health is fruit and vegetable juice blends. From Oprah.com to health publications, drinking these beverages have been highlighted in becoming essential to being healthy and retailers are starting to take notice as more and more vendors are selling these drinks.

It has been reported that these blends have become so successful that it has been hurting the orange industry – between 2007 and 2012, the purchasing of orange juice declined by a little more than three percent.

MonaVie is a manufacturer and distributor of products made from blended fruit and vegetable juice concentrates, powders and purees.  It started its business in 2005 and has rapidly grown to become a leader in the health and wellness industry.
The South Jordan, Utah-based company was founded by a dynamic team of experienced professionals, including Dallin A. Larsen, the founder and Chariman of the Board; Henry Marsh, the founder and Vice Chairman, Randy Larsen, founder and Vice Chairman; and Mauricio Bellora President and CEO and Walter Noot, Chief Operating Officer.

All of the individuals who have been with Monavie from the very beginning have decades of experience in the direct selling industry and have worked vigorously for the growth of their company.

In the past eight years, it has grown to become one of the fastest-growing companies in the world and was ranked No. 18 in the 2009 Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies. It has also been named the Fastest Growing Company in the state of Utah by MountainWest Capital Network and has been ranked No. 1 in the Fast 50 edition of the Utah Business Magazine.
MonaVie has received many awards, distinctions and honors throughout its near decade existence, including the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year and CEO of the Year by Utah Business Magazine.

One of the positive traits that MonaVie has been lauded for is its involvement in the community and in the world. In 2005, it established the MORE Project, an initiative that gives hope to some of Brazil’s most impoverished families.

Furthermore, MonaVie has donated millions of dollars and thousands of hours catering to families in the favelas of Brazil.  It has been actively involved in providing daily meals, job training, dental care, school programs, housing and emotional support to the impecunious.

“At MonaVie, we believe in abundance and in sharing that abundance. It is so heartwarming to see our distributors contribute to a country that has given our company so much through the nutritious acai berry,” said Larsen in a statement. “Our reward for funding this work is to witness the renewed light and hope in the eyes of people living in abysmal conditions, knowing that we are helping give them and their posterity a more meaningful, self-reliant life.”

Due to its business success and philanthropic endeavors, it has been recognized in Direct Selling News $100 Million Club 2009 and Direct News Selling $100 Million Club 2010. Each year, it is featured frequently in the media, such as MTV’s Cribs, CBS‘s The Doctors, Rachael Ray, NBC’s the Today Show, Fortune magazine, Inc. 500, Vogue, People.com and Business Week.

Late last year, Mark Macdonald, the firm’s nutrition and fitness expert, even made an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show. During his segment, he provided the audience tips to “reshape your body,” which includes moderating your blood sugar, maintaining a proper diet and implementing a suitable exercise regimen.
