MonaVie "E" and the Urban Prep Creed

MonaVie: A Path to a More Meaningful Life, where the "E" in MonaVie stands for "exceptional." This is not a new notion - to be exceptional, and certainly we've mentioned it time and time again. But what does it mean? What does it mean to be exceptional? It is my thought that we are all exceptional by nature, and for this reason alone, it is our responsibility to nurture said virtue.

The following was sent to Founder and CEO Dallin Larsen by Black Diamond Executive Angel Matos who said, "There is always hope and possibility. Urban Prep in Chicago is a great example of what can be done. Their creed says it all."

The Urban Prep Creed

We believe.
We are the young men of Urban Prep.
We are college bound.
We are exceptional-not because we say it, but because we work hard at it.
We will not falter in the face of any obstacle placed before us.
We are dedicated, committed and focused.
We never succumb to mediocrity, uncertainty or fear.
We never fail because we never give up.
We make no excuses.
We choose to live honestly, nonviolently and honorably.
We respect ourselves and, in doing so, respect all people.
We have a future for which we are accountable.
We have a responsibility to our families, community and world.
We are our brothers' keepers.
We believe in ourselves.
We believe in each other.
We believe in Urban Prep.
WE BELIEVE.

Urban Prep Academies were founded in 2002 with the intent to provide comprehensive, high-quality college preparatory education to young men that results in graduates succeeding in college and the most simple of motto - "We Believe" which is a constant reminder that Urban Prep students will not fall into the trap of negative stereotypes and low expectations.
