4 Tips to MonaVie-ize Your Black Friday

This week many of us will be inundated with coupons, email, Facebook posts and commercials featuring the latest and greatest deals for Black Friday—the biggest shopping day of the year!

Everyone enjoys a good deal, and no matter what your level of engagement is, here are four tips to make sure your Black Friday shopping experience is a MonaVie experience! 

Tip #1 Have a plan!

Devising a store strategy with family and friends is wise so that you can find more deals in a shorter amount of time. I would suggest a pre–Black Friday meeting, complete with a review of the stores (btw…blueprints would be great). Establish a list of roles and responsibilities, test your walkie talkies and—of course—check to see if any of the stores you’ll visit are part of new MonaVie Perks Retail Rewards!

Tip #2 Bring something to eat.

How Are You Creating Experiences?

 

 

Not all experiences are created equal. The majority of experiences we have in the course of a week or month are soon forgotten and do little to change the course of our lives. But when you think about it, the experiences that have had the power to touch, change or move you, and remain forever etched in your mind, have a common thread. Usually, it’s because someone you love, trust or admire shares something with you that has personally affected them or motivated them to change their life.

The Importance of Creating an Experience

Isn’t that the reason that the Community CommerceSM business model is so powerful? As discussed in a recent blog, this model is successful because it’s based on building relationships within the communities to which we belong and then creating experiences within those relationships that move people to seek a more meaningful life. Many of today’s business leaders are just now beginning to discover what many MonaVie distributors already know—it’s about the experience!

When Southwest Airlines goes out of its way to please a customer, they know that by providing one customer a great experience, that customer has the potential to become a brand ambassador and share experiences that can shape the opinions of others. This is why they have a dedicated team of representatives listening on social media channels, handling complaints, informing their communities about inclement weather and offering discounts on flights. The team’s goal is to create memorable experiences that result in loyalty and repeat business. It’s all about the customer experience.

Successful distributors know that they must do much more than merely contact someone. New customers and distributors are created when individuals have positive, personal experiences at a friend’s tasting party or at a MonaVie-sponsored event. Our whole goal for corporate events like MonaVie 2.0, I Am MonaVie Tour or MonaVie Convention, is to create a memorable experience that moves attendees to action and ultimately to make changes that will improve the quality of their life.

What I “Need” for Christmas

 

 

Sponsor a Child with the MORE Project

Each year during the holidays, I look forward to when The MORE Project places its Christmas tree in the lobby of MonaVie Corporate. The ornaments on the tree consist of a picture of a child from Brazil with some basic information about who they are and what they would want or need for Christmas.

Last year I chose an ornament that featured a boy who appeared to be somewhere between the ages of my own two boys, hoping they would identify with him. Before placing the ornament on our own Christmas tree that night, I asked my kids to give him a name. They chose the name “Bartokamos,” and we spent the balance of the evening talking about how our relatively small contribution would provide Bartokamos with food, clothing, and a gift that holiday season.

Over the years, as we’ve continued this tradition, I’ve come to realize what I—and what my family—really need for Christmas…and that is an opportunity to serve others in a meaningful way. I can’t think of a more worthy cause than The MORE Project, so when I heard about their goal to sponsor 100 children by the end of the year (watch video), I wanted to share my experience with you.

The Amazing Power of Community Commerce℠

During the past eight months since I started working at MonaVie, I have been amazed—and I’m not easily amazed.

In my past, I had the good fortune to work on infomercials for cable television, and I’ve had the opportunity to work on product development for a few direct sales companies. As a result, I had a healthy respect for the power of direct sales and personal marketing. But it wasn’t until I began working at MonaVie and started seeing the personal impact that MonaVie’s Community Commerce business model has on people’s lives that I gained a true appreciation for the beauty and power of what we offer. What I’ve learned as I’ve watched successful distributors at work is that community commerce is all about building relationships within the communities to which you belong and then recommending the products that you believe in to the people with whom you interact. No one does this better or in a more genuine way than MonaVie distributors. During the past few months as I have traveled extensively to meet with distributors across the vast MonaVie network, I have seen how our remarkable products have brought hope and renewed health to hundreds of thousands of people. Equally as moving are the stories of how MonaVie’s business opportunity has saved homes, cars and families struggling to survive one of the worst economic downturns since the Great Depression.

As many of you have shared your incredible stories of success with me, I have felt humbled, honored and amazed to be part of a company that is changing the lives of people from every walk of life. We know the historic floods in Thailand have impacted millions and we are grateful for everything you are doing to rally and to donate to those in needs.

Restoring Hope in the Land of Smiles

A letter from Randy Larsen:

The spirit of giving is synonymous with MonaVie, and never was this more evident than when a group of distributors came together in response to the epic flooding that has impacted millions of people in Thailand.

While many anxiously await the full launch of MonaVie Thailand, we couldn’t be more thrilled as a group of 15–20 Thailand distributors, with compassionate hearts, banded together to organize and provide relief to hundreds of people afflicted by the worst flooding in Thailand in more than 80 years. These distributors perfectly exhibited the beauty of the MonaVie family and The MORE Project as they proactively went forth to give back to those in their local communities. They understood the tragedy firsthand and wanted to do MORE to make a difference—and they did just that.

I am proud to say that these gracious Thailand distributors, along with The MORE Project, raised more than 200,000 baht (THB) to provide food, sanitary items, and other relief supplies to nearly 1,000 families in the Uthaithani province of Thailand—the worst hit area of Thailand that has been underwater for a month. Families in this province have lost their homes and are now living in scattered shelters throughout the area.

Weeks earlier, MonaVie Thailand distributors visited the Taluk Village in the Chainat province and donated enough food and clean water to sustain members of 385 households for an entire week. MonaVie distributors passed out the food to each of these families. It was an incredible, emotional event as these families showered the distributors with gratitude for their help and sacrifice.

But it’s never a sacrifice to give. I have always believed what you give is returned, and we have already gained a greater love in our hearts for the Thailand people. As David Phelps (Regional President of Southeast Asia), Peter Willden (Vice President of Southeast Asia), MORE Project Executive Director Katy Holt-Larsen, and I stood alongside Thailand distributors to hand out these supplies, you could see in each person’s eyes and smiles their tremendous gratitude and an instant bond of friendship was created. That’s what this company is all about—coming to the rescue of those individuals and families who need a little hope and happiness added back into their lives.

Today, many distributors throughout Thailand are still coming together to raise money and to do what they can to help those who have been impacted by these horrible floods. Thank you for all your efforts and we will continue to do what we can to provide relief in each community throughout Thailand.

Thailand is known as the Land of Smiles, and through the combined efforts of our MonaVie family worldwide we are bringing smiles back to the faces of so many.
