Behold, the Power of the Penny

Black Diamond Kathleen Deggelman shares her insights regarding the power of the penny with her most recent article, How to Get Rich from a Penny and Earn Income for Life.

In this piece Kathleen charts the value of a single penny if it were to double it's value each day for 30 days. See chart below:

Kathleen then likens this to the MonaVie compensation plan and how she went from "zero to millionaire" in 23 short months.

Weekly Round Up: October 21, 2011

This week we learned that Black Diamond Randy Haugen is not only an upcoming movie star (in Forward The Network Marketing Movie) but also a talented and requested speaker at I am MonaVie city meetings, especially on topics related to MVP.

You’ve probably seen all the Cruise for Gold qualifier stories popping up all over the MonaVie Media Center. If not, go here. Black Diamond Kathleen Deggelman is also getting in on the recognition action, recently spotlighting friend and Emerald Executive Jill Paul on her website.

You have one more week to save on the Dollar-for-PV promotion on RVL 3-Day Sample Packs and Single-Serve Packets – this deal ends October 28! Make sure to stock up and save now so you can lose more later! See what I did there?

We lost a beloved technology maven this month with the passing of late Apple founder Steve Jobs. As a Mac lover since graduate school, I learned of the news upon opening a new browser, which defaults to Apple.com and seeing a simple tribute page to the industry icon and visionary.

If you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences, please email rememberingsteve@apple.com.

Bloomsberg Businessweek releases weekly magazines, loaded with articles about home, finance, technology, innovation, management, small business and global insights. On September 19, 2011, the publication cover title was America Isn’t Working, a compelling follow up to MonaVie “1 Billion” statement.

Take a look at top story “Can Retraining Give Unemployed a Second Change?” and namely the subtitle, “Americans looking for employment often lack the skills they needs. Retraining works. Sometimes.”

You know what works…every time? Community commerce.

In fact, MonaVie Founder and CEO Dallin Larsen discussed the powerful benefits with international government and industry leaders in Washington, D.C. last weekend which is kind of a big deal, especially if it means having a positive impact on the 1.8 billion people worldwide who will never be employed. At least I think so.

Also, an interesting note…you most likely have all the skills necessary to be successful in community commerce, and if you feel you need some training, then we got your back with the upcoming launch of MVP (short for MonaVie Values People). This business building and training solution will be unveiled at the MonaVie 2.0 event, to be held January 13-14 in Dallas, Texas.

And the best news…your income is residual and limitless.

If you’re still wondering what this thing called community commerce is exactly, Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Cohen hits us with another compelling article on BlogMV, appropriately titled MonaVie Community Commerce℠: The No. 1 Business Opportunity.

It’s a good one. Read it. Leave a comment. Tell me to stop being so bossy.

Until next time...

Forward the Network Marketing Movie Starring MonaVie’s Randy Haugen

Movie premieres are exciting! By saying that I realize I am suggesting I’ve been to my fair share of said premieres but I’d be lying if I didn’t follow up with, I actually have NOT been…to a premiere...like ever.

But I’ve heard they are quite exciting!

Also, Footloose was recently premiered and I happen to know a few peeps in the star line up so I can, in fact, confirm that movie premieres are exciting.

There, I feel better about my lead in to this blog post. Whew.

Speaking of movies, here’s one that we should all be waiting with baited breath to premiere, in that, it not only will be about our beloved industry, it will feature one of our beloved MonaVie Black Diamonds!

The movie: Forward The Network Marketing Movie

Our film, Forward, will take an honest look at the Network Marketing industry. Our goal is to research and interview people associated with the industry, wade through all dogma, hype, and false facts to discover the positive difference this amazing industry is making in our world today.

Learn more: www.forwardmovie.com

MonaVie’s Black Diamond Randy Haugen was recently interviewed for a segment that will appear in the final production. Read the behind-the-scenes post about his interview and what the director thought of our dear Randy. The title pretty much says it all.

Randy Haugen Emanates Authenticity

Of course, Randy is no newbie when it comes to lights, camera, action; not after his Black Diamond documentary, produced by MonaVie after hitting the ambitious rank.

Watch Randy and Valorie Haugen’s Black Diamond documentary.

Even still, we are pleased Randy will be representing not only the industry but a little piece of MonaVie and what we stand for – way to carry the banner Mr. Haugen!

I’ll follow up once I know the release of Forward. For now, you can follow them on Facebook and receive of-the-moment updates direct from the source.

MonaVie and The Perfect Storm

MonaVie Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Cohen spoke to The New York Times article on declining incomes and escalation in unemployment in his post, MonaVie Provides Answer to Economic Downturn. In this piece he referenced the combination of MonaVie’s exceptional products and innovative and dynamic compensation plan as the right opportunity at the right time.

Renowned economist and MonaVie Imagine convention keynote, Paul Zane Pilzer, would agree, stating further that wellness and direct selling create a perfect storm of unprecedented economic opportunity. A statement he expands on in his article, appropriately titled, The Perfect Storm of Opportunity.

In said article he reports that between 2000 and 2005, wellness grew from a $200 billion industry to $400 billion and on it's way to being the next trillion dollar industry has had a dramatic impact on the democratization of American wealth, simply by linking the need for wellness products with the network marketing, home-based entrepreneurial business model.

The fortunes to be made today and in the years ahead will be made by those who are involved in teaching people about new products and services that they either didn’t know existed or didn’t know were now affordable. That is, intellectual distribution, as opposed to physical distribution, is where the greatest fortunes are being made today and will continue to be made...

MonaVie is certainly providing all of the above by offering premium products, entrepreneurial opportunity (minus the overhead), in a highly scalable business model, that addresses unemployment, as well as underemployment with this thing called residual income.

The result? A steady increase in ordinary working-class people who are making their way into the new millionaire’s club, as well as an overall increase in individual income and net worth.

In addition, MonaVie is having a positive impact on quality of life because it’s no longer an option to simply make an income if you must sacrifice lifestyle, family and well being in order to do so.

In summary, we’re getting healthy, enjoying a balance of work and family and creating unprecedented wealth while at it. It’s hard to feel bad about any of that...am I right or am I right?

Download and read Paul Zane Pilzer’s article here and then be sure to leave your thoughts below!

Kathleen Deggelman: Up & Coming Social Media Powerhouse (Part 3)

Be sure to catch Part 1 and Part 2 in our series highlighting social media maven and Black Diamond Kathleen Deggelman.

As promised, that third best practice I spied upon visiting Kathleen’s social media sites:

Be professional. Be conversational.

It can be a hard mix to present polished and approachability (soooo a word - I checked), however, this is what network marketing is all about so I can’t think of a more perfect partnership with social media, where candid and conversational is the name of the game.

Mentioned in Part 1, Kathleen had a successful career as an investor before coming to MonaVie. Needless to say, she had an extensive professional network and one that is beautifully outlined on her LinkedIn profile – a great reference when building your LinkedIn page (hint, hint).

Now hop over to Kathleen’s YouTube channel and the first thing you see is her MonaVie Black Diamond documentary which offers polish, as well as a more personal and candid look at who Kathleen is beyond her professional career. You’ll also see Kathleen’s Happy Friday video series – simple videos, with little production, talking about anything and everything, including a convention recapsimple business openersrelevant reads, and inspiring pick me ups.

Professional, yet approachable.

Kathleen also posted How-To’s on getting started on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter – imagine the number of people who will land on these videos looking for tutorials on social media and in addition get a segue to a business opportunity called MonaVie.

Truly, it’s all about the conversation. So, use the platforms to start a conversation!

I encourage you to follow MonaVie on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and of course bounce back to BlogMV for more posts like these. I also encourage you to visit Kathleen’s pages (listed below) and use all as references in building your own pages.

Kathleen Deggelman: Up & Coming Social Media Powerhouse (Part 2)

Did you read part one of our highlight with Kathleen? If not, hop over here before continuing on. Did I mention that Kathleen was featured in the June 2011 Success from Home magazine (read more here)? I didn’t?! I apologize and encourage you to go read the article.

Picking up where we left off last week, I must say that the more and more I look at Kathleen’s work online the more I am impressed with her social media prowess. No wonder she is making waves using the interwebs.

Here are a couple ways she is making said waves via said interwebs, and good tips to follow in your budding online practices:

Be a source of quality information.

Take a look at Kathleen’s Facebook page and you’ll see she is interested in a number of good reads for entrepreneurs, network marketers, business investors and the like, including, but not limited to TED and Entrepreneur Magazine. You’ll also see she is a fan of figures, such as Anthony Robbins, Malcom Gladwell, Robert Kiyosaki and Jack Canfield. If you are what you read, or in this case follow, my impression is that Kathleen might offer a healthy dose of intriguing insights on all things related to business, lifestyle and personal development. If she has something to say on any of these topics, I am inclined to listen, just by peaking at the pages she “likes.”

No one wants to be sold, but everyone’s looking to buy.

What is “everyone” looking to buy? Beliefs, products, lifestyle – you name it and people are looking to buy it, however, they do not want to feel sold in the process. This is doubly true on social media platforms.

Take a look at Kathleen’s Twitter account and see how she starts conversations about her favorite “good reads” (following our theme from above), which are natural gateways to other topics. Topics about what, you ask? Oh, money matters, residual income, weight loss and products, to name a few. Just look at her thread and you’ll see a nice mixture of conversation starters, all with equal potential to introduce MonaVie, without even mentioning MonaVie! Love. It.

Wednesday, August 10, I’ll share a third tip and best practice that Kathleen uses to maximize her social media prowess. Be sure to come back now!
